Group e-mail is an almost free form of advertising which allows you to sell products or services to over 50 million people worldwide from your home computer. There is no comparison between group e-mail and traditional mail. With group e-mail, for a few hundred dollars you could send a mailing to 1 million people. To send a mailing to 1 million people by U.S. mail would cost you a minimum of 300 hundred thousand dollars and this only includes postage. ********************************* Harvesting E-mail Addresses "Permission Email Marketing" is the term used to send e-mail only to those who have requested or consented to receive your email promotion by joining opt-in lists. "Permission" e-mail marketing typically yields response rates that are ten times that of banners? The best way to obtain an
opt-in emal list is to prepare your own.
Include an on-line form where site viewers can contact you for information. Don't forget to include a Privacy Policy on your site. This ensures those who subscribe that you will only use their information for the purpose of sending them your email, newsletter or product up-dates. Make it clear that you will not sell your email list to ANYONE! A second effective way is to subscribe to opt-in mailing lists and newsgroups like Tropica, sGroups, GlobalLists or ListBot. The idea being to send each other promotional mail. Use a legitimate mailing list or opt-in lists. Check out this one HERE A word of warning though - get yourself a free email address. This gives you more control over how and when you check your email rather than having your personal email system being flooded with promotional material. Finally there is the option of buying or renting mailing lists. This can work out expensive so shop around. Of them all this is the most precarious. This is the area where you are at risk of spamming - sending un-solicited emails. You risk losing your ISP account and certainly not worth any potential gain. Group e-mail, when done properly can be an excellent source for new business and can make you a lot of money. When done improperly, bulk e-mailing can be the biggest nightmare you have ever seen. Unless you are experienced with bulk e-mailing, find a reputable bulk e-mail company and send out a test number of 25,000 e-mails. If the response proves successful you can make more money than you ever imagined. There'a a variety of emailing programmes available which give you complete control of your email list.
